Roof valleys are designed to channel water from the roof to the gutters, preventing water build-up that could lead to damage over time. Since they bear more water traffic, valleys can be prone to deterioration, requiring repairs or, in some cases, replacement. How We Approach Valley Replacements

 

Before we begin any work, our team carries out a full inspection to assess the condition of the valley, allowing us to determine the next best steps. In some cases, only minor repairs are needed, but when the lead, mortar, or GRP valley tray has failed, a full replacement is the most reliable and long-lasting solution.

 

For replacements, we carefully remove the tiles or slates around the valley as well as the trough itself. After a full inspection of the battens and rafters for signs of water damage, we install a new breathable membrane from one of our trusted brands. We then replace the valley trough with either GRP or lead, depending on the compatibility with the existing roof. Next, we re-tile or re-slate for a professional, watertight roof valley!
