How Rogers Roofing Approaches Valley Replacements
Before we begin any work, our team carries out a full valley inspection to assess the condition, allowing us to determine the next best steps.
In some cases, only minor repairs are needed, but when the lead, mortar, or GRP valley tray has failed, a full replacement is the most reliable and long-lasting solution.
For valley replacements, we carefully remove the tiles or slates around the valley as well as the trough itself.
After a full inspection of the battens and rafters for signs of water damage, we install a new breathable membrane from one of our trusted brands.
We then replace the valley trough with either GRP or lead, depending on the compatibility with the existing roof. Next, we re-tile or re-slate for a professional, watertight roof valley!
